Tikvah International Ministries

Our History

Tikvah began in 2022 in Uganda with the meeting of Ugandan Cedrick Wabwire and American Sarah Benevides at Uganda Christian University. God brought together two families with a shared vision of restoring families with hope through support and education. God has been building and preparing.

Tikvah תִּקְוָה is the Hebrew word for hope that does not disappoint. Hope is more than a dream. It is an expectation and a strong expression of faith. Hope is a rock you can rely on,
hold onto and find strength in. At Tikvah, we believe every person can thrive with hope for their future. Our purpose is to support individuals, families, and communities with
opportunities to restore hope that unlocks further personal development through religion and education to assist in providing a brighter future.

Specifically, we support families. Families who may include: widows, single parents, elderly, youth and individuals with special needs in low income marginalized communities and
under-represented populations in countries around the world. We strengthen families and restore hope through interventions that support growth development, education, socio-economic services, infrastructure development, networking with community
stakeholders, medical care missions, vocational skills training, volunteering, and charitable donations.
